Grab that great antique bookcase find from an auction, garage sale or estate liquidation.
Genuine antique barrister bookcases are getting quite difficult to find in good condition.
Because the need for their particular design has diminished (they were made in stackable sections so that each
section could be transported on its own), many originals have fallen into disrepair or even been disposed of by
their owners who may not recognize the value. When you do find these bookcases, they are generally restored
examples. True untouched antiques can be found but as you would expect, these are expensive.
We are working to bring a live feed to antique barrister bookcase auctions on this page shortly. In the meantime,
we list below a few examples that are available now. Please note that this page is for informational purposes and
although we intend to update it periodically, the pieces listed may not be available any
longer.
